Coriander seeds
Coriander, also known as Chinese parsley, is an annual herb in the Apiaceae family. The stems and leaves of the plant are commonly called coriander.

Coriander is used in cuisines around the world, and its seeds have a lemony citrus flavor when crushed. It is described as warm, nutty, spicy, and orangey. Coriander seeds are a key ingredient in garam masala and Indian curries, often combined with cumin. They are also widely used in pickling vegetables. In Germany and South Africa, coriander seeds are used in sausages, and in Russia and Central Europe, they can be found in rye breads, such as Borodinsky bread, as an alternative to caraway. Coriander seeds are also used in the production of certain types of beer, especially Belgian wheat beer.
